- Day 2: Tunghai University (東海大學) and Rainbow Village (彩虹眷村), then Gaomei Wetlands at dusk (about 30 km, roughly 40–55 minutes by car depending on traffic).
- Day 3: Taichung Central Park and the Taichung Green Museumbrary (台中綠美圖).
- Holiday stays book up fast, so reserve early. The Taiwan government's domestic travel subsidy (for Taiwan residents only) applies only on weekdays (Sun–Thu) and cannot be used on national holidays or long weekends.
