Where can I go in Taichung on a rainy day?

- Science museum: the National Museum of Natural Science is on Guanqian Rd. in Taichung's North District, with exhibits on dinosaurs, life science and space, and a botanical garden next door.
- Opera house: the National Taichung Theater is in the the 7th Redevelopment Zone (Qiqi) area of Xitun District, designed by Japanese architect Toyo Ito, and the building itself is worth seeing.
- Green Museumbrary: the Taichung Green Museumbrary combines the Taichung Metropolitan Library main branch and the Taichung Museum of Fine Arts, designed by the Japanese architecture team SANAA, and sits next to Taichung Central Park (水湳中央公園).
- Department stores: Shin Kong Mitsukoshi and Top City are both in the the 7th Redevelopment Zone (Qiqi) area.

You can also stay in on a rainy day: the 6F 樂蘊 (guest lounge) (guests only): Hanfu photo studio, Korean-style photo booth, kids' play area, table tennis and foosball; the parent-child reading area has moved to 拍拍咖啡 (café) on 1F.
